Find out a little bit about me...
My name is Mr. Bedard, I was born in Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands) and I am First Nations of Haida decent. I am also half British and love Europe. I have recently traveled to Europe several times and lived in France for over 3 months. This is one of the ways I became so passionate about the French Language. However, my love began much earlier. I went though the french immersion program at Ballenas Secondary School, while I was at Ballenas I had the opportunity to do an exchange to Quebec and immerse myself in the French culture. Once I graduated with my Bi-Lingual Diploma I continued on to Vancouver Island University, where I graduated with a double minor in Sport Health and Physical Education and of course French. I then began my true passion which is teaching. I moved from Vancouver Island to Langley, with hopes of job opportunities. I began at R.E. Mountain Secondary School as an Aboriginal support worker and finished my first year on the mainland at that school. The following year I was hired on at HD Stafford as the Low Incidence Special Education teacher and spent a year in that class. This year I have the chance to job share a great position teaching Math, Science and French and I am very excited for the year to come. (Read More)
